Proud To Be Your Enemy (#006)

[ZS]
(RE-UPPED 12/23/13)

No theme this time around, except that I almost entirely shied away from hardcore (unless you count the McRad track; and I wouldn't). Last week's post was fairly heavy in that arena, so I made a concerted effort to avoid it here. More evidence that I don't intend this blog to follow any set of rules for inclusion, the so-elegantly named punk acts Raped and The 4-Skins appear alongside bands your dad or cool uncle might be into like T. Rex and Vanilla Fudge. It's music that I like. End of story.

[Note: I aim to please - except in regards to the individual song breakdowns I had originally intended to include with each post, that is. It's time consuming and this is a hobby. Sorry. If you have a question, just ask.]

1. THE CARPETTES - IF YOUR HEART STOPPED NOW
2. RAPED - MOVING TARGET
3. EDDIE & THE HOT RODS - DO ANYTHING YOU WANNA DO
4. THE 4-SKINS - PLASTIC GANGSTERS
5. KINKS - I’M NOT LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE
6. DR. FEELGOOD - BECAUSE YOU’RE MINE
7. SHANE MACGOWAN & THE POPES - THAT WOMAN’S GOT ME DRINKING
8. THE SPECIALS - ENJOY YOURSELF
9. VANILLA FUDGE - YOU KEEP ME HANGING ON
10. ALICE COOPER - ELECTED
11. PUBLIC IMAGE LTD. - ANNALISA
12. WRECKLESS ERIC - A POP SONG
13. RICHARD HELL - THE KID WITH THE REPLACEABLE HEAD
14. SPARKS - AMATEUR HOUR
15. T. REX - LIFE’S A GAS
16. McRAD - WORDS OF LIFE

  1. I see the MF link is dead already. Bunch of cockbags. Just get it through the RS or DS links.

  2. It's such a ridiculous situation. I could write a book about my opinions regarding copyright laws (in short, they need to be entirely rewritten), but aside from all that, these file hosting sites (and, in turn, music blogs) are such small potatoes when you compare what they do with file sharing programs like soulseek or bittorrent. Anyway, don't get me started...
