No one does thrashy California hardcore like RKL. Rock N Roll Nightmare finds the band embracing a more metallic sound with Joe Raposo taking over bass duties and the addition of second guitarist Barry Ward. It's still a blast of fast late eighties fun; I prefer it over Keep Laughing. If they played any faster their instruments would explode.
