This is the follow up to the two 1977 Iggy/David Bowie collaborations, Lust For Life and The Idiot, and the third Iggy solo record. James Williamson returns to the fold for the first time since Kill City, and while I play that album (actually demos) and the Bowie stuff more often, New Values fits right in with the bunch. Classic stuff.
Thanks for posting this. We used to listen to this a lot in college.

ReplyDeleteMany thanks for posting this - I own it, but only on scratchy 70s vinyl, it's great to hear it pristine & "click"-free!
ReplyDeleteNo problem at all. Great album.
ReplyDeleteThe title track is defo one of Iggy's finest riffs - definitely!
