Shit Street might be the definitive Pagans collection. Still, this expanded reissue of The Pink Album runs a very close second. The sound quality is decidedly lo-fi, but it's hard to complain with such a ridiculously great batch of punk like this. A large portion of what's presented here dates back to Mike Hudson's early eighties Pagans reincarnation, an era that, if this collection proves anything, has been very wrongly maligned by fans. This stuff is just as sneeringly good as the first wave, and you can quote me on that.
