I received a couple requests for more Wipers, and I'm happy to oblige. Land Of The Lost was the first studio release by the Wipers after Over The Edge hit the streets three years prior. In between there was a live album and Greg Sage's first solo record, both of which are solid LPs. Land Of The Lost, however, at least in my humble opinion, managed to top them. The Wipers were back, and they were back with a vengeance. In an assessment I heartily disagree with, this album is sometimes noted as a dropping off point for the band in terms of quality. Their sound has certainly evolved since Is This Real?, which seems to be - perhaps understandably - what turned fans off; but frankly I find this material equally as compelling.
