Released just one year after Pure Mania, The Vibrators' V2 is often noted as a step down from its predecessor. I strongly disagree. In fact, I find V2 to be a major leap forward. I enjoy their debut, but the band really finds their footing here, expanding their range while staying true to the punk roots they started with. Unfortunately, this would be The Vibrators' last album before reforming for the Guilty LP five years later.
