Today's posts are the first two John Doe solo records: Meet John Doe and Kissingsohard. This stuff has far more in common with his work with The Knitters than it does with X, and the country influence is even more apparent here. There are no speedy rockers like the former's "Call Of The Wrecking Ball" to be found, and overall both albums take a quieter and smoother approach than either of his other aforementioned musical ventures. The drastic shift in tone can be jarring, but if you can separate yourself from your expectations and go in with an open mind, you may find them to be a rewarding listen.

Hi Mike, this is dead already. Any chance of a re-up? Many thanks!
