The Ruts - The Crack (1979)

The Crack is one of punk's truly great debuts. Sadly, due to the death of vocalist Malcolm Owen, this was their only record (although there were several posthumous releases, and the band continued on in a different musical vein as Ruts DC). Here, they run the gamut of styles, from reggae-influenced rockers to full speed ahead ragers. A classic if I've ever posted one.
