Eric Ozenne is a guy you can count on to be tearing things up old school style no matter what band he appears in. Whether it's his work with the Nerve Agents, Unit Pride, Said Radio, or here with Redemption 87, you know it's probably going to kick ass. For better or worse (better, in my opinion), the guy seems hell bent on recreating hardcore's glory days. This is Redemption 87's first full length. It's not eighties NYHC, but it's a more than adequate facsimile.
I like your write up on this. Redemption 87 was probably the best out of all the revival bands that came out a few years back. Nerve Agents were killer also, but I think this album is on top. The Unit Pride EP smokes, too, but of course that actually came out during the original era.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
Thanks man! The Said Radio album is worth seeking out if you haven't heard it yet, as well.
