The words rockabilly and psychobilly get thrown around a lot concerning King Kurt. I can't speak for the rest of their material (I'm only familiar with this album), but for Ooh Wallah Wallah that seems an extremely inadequate description. Those are overly simplified labels, and much in the same way that someone might describe The Cramps, they fail to capture what's really going on with the band. That's not to say they sound like The Cramps at all either though. These guys play a glossier brand of rockabilly-inspired pub rock. If I had to pick a band with a similar sound it might be Tenpole Tudor, who they would later share a bassist with. This edition includes seven bonus tracks.

Saw these guys play live from between 83-86 and they were wild!!! Nothing could beat a King Kurt gig. These music was good but a by-product of the insane scenes beforehand - i.e. the wheel of misfortune anyone?
