The Styrenes - We Care, So You Don't Have To (1998)

It wasn't all too long ago that I posted The Styrenes' All The Wrong People Are Dying. It's an interesting piece of work, but ultimately not something I really find myself playing on a regular basis. We Care, So You Don't Have To, on the other hand, has been in a fairly steady heavy rotation. The band once again teams up with former Pagans vocalist, Mike Hudson. This time around though, while the record still allows for spoken word overtures, they also got the man to sing. The results are fantastic, and a massive Pagans fan like myself rejoices. One of these days I'll get around to posting some Styrenes material sans Hudson, because they really are more than just "the band that the guy from the Pagans hooked up with for a couple records". Their discography is a difficult one, however; and if I'm being completely open and honest the Hudson stuff is my favorite of the admittedly limited Styrenes material I'm familiar with.
