No Alternative were yet another band that, while well-known and respected in their day, never got around to releasing much in the way of official recordings. They showed up on 1982's Not So Quiet On The Western Front compilation, and that seems to be how most are familiar with the band, if they are at all. This collection attempts to rectify the situation, offering up a liberal dose of their particularly energetic brand of San Francisco punk rock. Just about every song is a winner, and leaves the listener wishing they'd been more tenacious in finding their way into a studio environment.
