The Depressions - The Punk Rock Collection (1977-1978)

Time for another dose of under-appreciated British punk from the late seventies. This collection gathers together their self-titled 1978 LP and a healthy serving of non-album tracks. If I'm not mistaken, this makes up the entirety of The Depressions' material before they shortened their name to The DPs and released their toned-down follow up, If You Know What I Mean. I haven't heard that one so I couldn't say with any certainty how it compares, but what's here is hard-hitting stuff that brings to mind The Stranglers (albeit minus the keyboards).
