The lone LP from the original Slaughter And The Dogs lineup, 1978's Do It Dog Style is an enduring document of what could have been. It's one of those near-perfect punk debuts, an album that would have been difficult to follow up even if the band hadn't promptly disintegrated upon its release. Several different incarnations followed, sometimes simply appearing as "Slaughter". I'm only vaguely familiar with those recordings, but this one gets a whole hell of a lot of play.
