The Suicide Commandos - Make A Record (1978)

In short, if there were no Suicide Commandos, there might not have ever been a Replacements or Husker Du. Often credited as the originators of the Minnesota music scene, it's hard to imagine why this record is still so under-appreciated. The mayor of Minneapolis even officially declared November 7th Suicide Commandos Day a few years back, proclaiming that the band "carved a path where there was none before. Many of the Minneapolis bands that went onto big success may not have done so without the Commandos."
